I am originally from Kingston, Jamaica - land of wood and water and home of the Reggae Boyz,  Bob Marley and a couple million others!  I visit often, but have deliberately transplanted myself to the mountains of North Carolina with my husband and 2 children.
 
I home-school my little ones and they in turn teach me and remind me all about why I am here on this planet!   I am the real student!  Children and animals have been such great teachers for me.  When I dare to think that I have arrived,  they come along and quickly show me areas where I still need to grow!   I have gotten better at appreciating my gurus, because when I pay attention, the lessons are so obvious.  Nothing subtle with these teachers!

When I am not home-schooIing, I love to write when spirit moves me to do so.  I write about what is real for me and what I feel in my heart.  Truth and freedom are worth cherishing.

I enjoy being awake and present and really showing up for my own life.  Appreciating the moment without judgment.  Loving what is.  Dropping identities and stories and just being with what is here.  Living and loving in truth.

Inspiring another to awakening is a way for me to give back to life.  Being in service to others comes in many forms.  I stay open for divine inspiration to show me the way to go, as life is always evolving forward. 

I draw on the richness of my life experiences to serve you in the
best way possible. Life offers much in the way of material for me to use.  I share myself and what I encounter day to day through my writing, in discussions and in connection with you.

I don’t care too much for labels, but they do serve a purpose at times…  I am a licensed Avatar Master.  Curious about Avatar® and the Avatar materials? If you would like more information or if you are ready to do the Avatar course here in the States or abroad, I would love to be your guide!

Avatar has been one of the constants in my life since I took the course several years ago. It feels like a beautiful gift to be able to pass that joy on and enrich someone else's life!

THE COMPASSION EXERCISE

This is one of thirty exercises that can be found in Avatar's
ReSurfacing®: Techniques for Exploring Consciousness,
by Harry Palmer.

Honesty with one’s self leads to compassion for others.

OBJECTIVE: To increase the amount of compassion in the world.

EXPECTED RESULTS: A personal sense of peace.

INSTRUCTIONS: This exercise can be done anywhere that people congregate (airports, malls, parks, beaches, etc). It should be done on strangers, unobtrusively, from some distance. Try to do all five steps on the same person.

Step 1: With attention on the person, repeat to yourself:
“Just like me, this person is seeking some happiness for his/her life”

Step 2: With attention on the person, repeat to youself:
“Just like me, this person is trying to avoid suffering in his/her life.”

Step 3: With attention on the person, repeat to yourself:
“Just like me, this person has known sadness, loneliness
and despair.”

Step 4: With attention on the person, repeat to yourself:
“Just like me, this person is seeking to fulfill his/her needs.”

Step 5: With attention on the person, repeat to yourself:
“Just like me, this person is learning about life.”
